Caelestiel asked: I have a lot of time at my disposal, but I’d rather train BJJ from Mon to Sat, with Sunday being an off day. I’m doing Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe. Should I do this (or any) routine immediately before martial arts or some other time?

Aaron D asked: I have always felt that the belt system in martial arts should be eliminated. Several reasons. First, students tend to want to get the next ranking and do the minumum just to get their sensei approval instead of learning what martial arts are really about. Second. They create animosity among students in the class that differ in ranks. Also they lead students to believe that they have skill they prob dont and are only walking around in a brown or black belt all just because the sensei likes them.

High On Life asked: I have a left ventricular shunt due to hydrocephalus, and I’ve always wanted to learn martial arts (karate, judo, tae kwon do, I love them all), but my parents were always scared to death that I would injure myself or die. Is it safe to practice weaponless martial arts with this kind of shunt?

SomeoneOverTheRainbow asked: Just wondering. I am trying to lose weight and when I lose it I would like to start some sort of martial arts. Please list the pros and cons of each 1 please, if you don’t mind. I want to pick the one that will be the most beneficial throughout my life.
Thanks.
I plan on joining the military after high-school and was wondering if martial arts would help at all with that?
